Market Momentum Fades

The momentum supporting the stock market continues to weaken like a bouncing ball losing its air. The chart above illustrates our point. As you can see on the top section this trend line of momentum has been slowly weakening for months. On the lower half of the chart you can see that the market is trading just above support lines drawn on the lows of last August.
